A part of the Unite For Diabetes campaign
The International Diabetes Federation’s Youth Ambassadors are a group of 25 young people with diabetes from around the world who were selected by IDF for their outstanding contributions to their communities, countries and regions in the area of diabetes advocacy.
Each of them is a compassionate, caring and dedicated volunteer who strives to better the lives of those affected by diabetes. Together they are helping people around our world.
The purpose of the Youth Ambassadors is to serve as official advocates for the United Nations Resolution on diabetes, and to participate at many levels in the global diabetes awareness campaign ’Unite For Diabetes’. This campaign is the largest global health initiative of its kind, aiming to reach 1 billion people. To learn more, visit www.unitefordiabetes.org.
Youth are powerful advocates for any cause! The Ambassadors encourage all young people to become diabetes youth advocates. Diabetes has historically been in the shadows of people’s understanding, and now is the time for diabetes youth advocates to take action and make a difference. Please enjoy the resources below as you learn more about the IDF Youth Ambassadors, diabetes advocacy, and the ways you can become involved!
