IDF Youth Ambassador spreads word throughout Spain

Sergi Vernet, the IDF’s Youth Leader from Spain, has been busy promoting the ‘Unite for Diabetes’ campaign throughout his homeland.

In collaboration with Fundación para la Diabetes, Sergi has created a Spanish Youth Panel for diabetes which meets for the first time on October 28th in Madrid. Read more about the youth panel. At the end of September, Sergi will speak to young people living with diabetes about his experiences and about the campaign for a UN Resolution on diabetes. On October 21 and 22, he will travel to Madrid to discuss the same issues.

Following the Spanish Youth Panel in October, Sergi will attend a Regional Diabetes Congress November 4-5, and will participate in the Fundación para la Diabetes half-marathon in Madrid in support of World Diabetes Day. Beyond his numerous speaking engagements, Sergi has also been active sending letters to politicians and the media in support of the ‘Unite for Diabetes’ campaign.

The campaign welcomes Sergi’s efforts as a UNR Youth Ambassador and will continue to share his updates.
