Endocrinologists in Uzbekistan support the ‘Unite for Diabetes’ campaign

The Association of Uzbek Endocrinologist threw their support behind the campaign for a UN Resolution on diabetes at their 5 September 2006 meeting.

Drawing representatives from the Oliy Majlis (Republican Parliament), the Uzbek Women’s Association and from Hokimiyats (local government), the event culminated in the collection of signatures for the ‘Unite for Diabetes’ campaign.

“All the participants supported by signing for the UN Resolution on diabetes and found it very important for our people,” said Ismailov Said, Chairman of the Association of Uzbek Endocrinologists.

The Association received support from the Novo Nordisk office in Uzbekistan to organize the meeting.
