Zinnea Rivas joined hundreds of people in El Salvador on 11 November in a World Diabetes Day walk in support of the Unite for Diabetes campaign.
Over 1,600 people joined Rivas, an International Diabetes Federation Youth Ambassador, to celebrate World Diabetes Day. They included people living with diabetes, their friends and families.
At the end of the walk Rivas spoke about the campaign for a United Nations Resolution on diabetes.
Rivas will join her fellow Youth Ambassadors in Cape Town in two weeks at the IDF Youth Leadership Workshop. She will then attend IDF’s 19th World Diabetes Congress, 3-7 December in Cape Town.
